After Effects error: Could not launch Adobe Analysis Server (515)   ( 25 :: 101)  *POSSIBLE FIX*

Hi. Im New to the forums so sorry in advance if i do something incorrect
Since my Purchase of Adobe CS6, I was not able to use dynamic link, or the plugins that required you to connect to the Adobe Analysis Server (3d Tracker, Warp Stablizer ETC) It would always give me the error
After Effects error: Could not launch Adobe Analysis Server (515)
( 25 :: 101)
Or if i would use dynamiclink
The Importer created a generic error
Through hours and hours searching through the internet, and trying possible fixes, i found possible fixes that might help people with this error.
*Before attempting any of these fixes, make sure you reinstall CS6 Using the Adobe Cleaner*
This guide is for Windows OS Only.
If the error still presists, try these options
-If your windows account is not a administrator, Run Adobe After Affects CS6 As Administrator
-Disable your Anti-Virus and your Firewall
I know you have probably heard this over and over again, but this is mainly the cause of the problem. Some Anti-Viruses even when disabled, go into some sort of one eyed open mode, where it still monitors your computer ever so slightly, so you may want to uninstall the anti-virus. As for the firewall,
1) Go to your start menu search «Check Firewall Status»
2)Then to the left of the window, click Turn Windows Firewall on or off
3)Then tick «Turn of Windows Firewall» on BOTH Home or work network and Public Network.
-Close and Uninstall filtering and spyware programs such as Netnanny and Premiere Opinion. This might be using the TCP Ports that is needed for After effects, dynamic link and adobe analysis server to communicate
-Start up Adobe Analysis server Manually. This can be done by going to C:Program FilesAdobeAdobe After Effects CS6Support Files and running Adobe Analysis server.exe as Adminisrator, Then starting Premiere, After effects, etc.
-If the Adobe Cleaner didnt already, Clean your registry. This can be done with free applications such as CCleaner.
If none of those options work,  I would suggest a full format and reinstall of windows.
I hope this would help people with this issue.

While there can’t be anything technically referred to as a «virus» on the Mac OS (due to the underlying structure), there can be (and are) malware variants out there that do attack machines running the Mac OS. As Apple products have grown in popularity, developers have been creating more and more malware aimed at OSX.
I certainly hope you at least have your firewall running.

Try installing version 12 of AE and the previous version of Premiere as well and see if they run.

Could not launch Adobe Stabilization Server Error

Hey Guys, I’ll take you down the road I’ve been traveling on for the past few hours.
— Installed CS5.5, everything runs smoothly for the first hour, then I close After Effects,
— Open it back up again, and receive the «Quicktime in not Installed, some plugin’s will not work» So I research that fully, realize it isn’t actually a problem and stop thinking about it. I also get an Output Module Error on Startup.
— I gather some clips together 1920×1080 23.976, normal 60D footage that I was testing to see stabilized, since it worked very well on my 7D footage (But I doubt its the footage that is causing the problem.
— When I drag, or go into effects and add Warp Stabilization to the clip, I get this error:
«After Effects error: Could not launch Adobe Stabilization Server. (514) ( 25 :: 101 )»
— And nothing will happen, can’t analyze the footage or the error will pop up again.
My Mac:
MacbookPro 17inch
2.2Ghz Intel i7
4GB memory
Running it off of my 1tb 7200rpm external hard drive.
My Firewall is off (turned it off to test one of the Quicktime error solutions, I’ve had it both on and off, and both problems stay the same)
So throw me any bits of info, I know this has been out for exactly a day, but this sucks. I’m just glad that I’m testing it now, and not later

Sorry to hear you’re having trouble with the new Warp Stabilizer. We did have a couple reports of this exact problem during beta testing, but were never able to get it to reproduce for us, or even for the beta testers that experienced the problem.
Some steps/questions:
0) Take a screenshot of all your running processes using Activity Monitor and Cmd-Shift-4.
1) What are your _exact_ steps to reproducing the problem (there are many ways to invoke the stabilizer, for example)?
2) Did you successfully use Warp Stabilizer before on this machine? (I see you already used it on 7D footage successfully)
3) Does it still happen after you quit & relaunch? (with no other apps running)
4) Does it still happen after you reboot & relaunch?
5) If it still happens, try turning Multiprocessing on in the prefs, click OK to dismiss the dialog, then bring it back up and turn Multiprocessing off, and OK again. Then stabilize. Does that help?
If you get it working, please repeat step 0, then post both pictures comparing before & after.

I have yet to find an answer that works to resolve this problem. I’m using CS6 on an HP Z220 on Windows 7.

So I solved the problem. A little history for this situation: I created a new AE project and while attempting to import a file received the error message:  After Effects error: could not convert Unicode characters. (23 :: 46)
I then tried to import a Vanishing Point which broken the spell on the error message and allowed the menu to select a vanishing point to appear. I closed out of that and was then able to import files.

Hello I just created a project in AE CC and wanted to save also a version for CS6.
All went ok but when I tried to open the project in CS6 I received the following error:
«After Effects error: could not convert Unicode characters. (23::46)»
Does anyone know what that means and how to fix it?

After Effects CC is much, much better at handling characters that are outside of the character set used by the OS at its current language settings. So, file names and paths (and other strings) that work fine in After Effects CC and later may fail with earlier versions.
For example, if you are running your OS and applications in English and have Chinese characters in your file names, After Effects CS6 and earlier will fail, but After Effects CC and earlier will succeed.

I have just downloaded the trial After Effects CC. I’m running Mavericks 10.9.4 on my Macbook Pro.
When I try to launch After Effects, this message appears:
«After Effects warning: Could not create the file ‘/Users/Library/Preferences/Adobe/After Effects/13.0/dummy'»
I have followed the advice from other posts on this issue regarding resetting all of the permissions in the Adobe folder in my library to read and write , but it doesn’t change anything. I still get the same message when I try to launch the program. Moreover, there is no After Effects folder in my Adobe folder, even though it’s clearly in my Applications folder.
I also uninstalled After Effects and tried to reinstall it, but to no avail.
I sure would like to give it a try, as I was planning on purchasing it, but this is just one more issue in a long irritating line of issues that have arisen since trying to download it from CC.
Any help is much appreciated.

I am having this problem and this response does not make sense. I made the «Preferences» ,»Adobe» & «After Effects» folder along with the 10.0,11.0,13.0,13.2 folders all read/write. Can’t seem to find an answer.

I’ve searched this forum found one thread that hasn’t helped
uninstalled entire Master Collection and reinstalled
fixed permissions
uninstalled and reinstalled just AE
I am unable to change the prefs directory indicated to add .xml file for folder.
Do not find Workspaces.1405.1407350763865601.xml
I’m about to download the master collection again and try a fresh install of AE.

And what if you simply trash the whole prefs folder/ move it out of the way? AE should happily re-create everything with factory defaults. realyl sounds like one of your workspace files is damaged, perhaps due to a crash.

After effects warning could not create the file

Hi,
I am fairly new to After effects, (so new that I haven’t managed to save a file). Can anyone help with this? I am running CS6 on an oldish mac pro, but flash and premiere run fine, and so does after effects, except it won’t let me save, and instead comes up with this message: after effects warning could not create the file.
I have even tried saving a file with just a jpeg in it, and it still won’t let me.
Any suggestions? I am a bit confused.

When you save in AE, you’re saving the project file — which inclues all your work in the comp — but you can’t save the comp itself to a media file.  It doesn’t work that way.  You have to export or use the AE Render Queue.
I recommend spending some quality time here.

first off , from the wired computer access the router using http://192.168.1.1 .. check the firmware version .. go to www.linksys.com/download and check the latest firmware available…if the router does not have the latest firmware , upgrade it first. .. after the firmware upgrade , reset and reconfigure the router
if the router has the latest firmware , then reset the router for 30 seconds .. do a power cycle…access the router ui ..default password is admin..click on the «mac add clone» subtab , enable it and click clone….save the settings and do a power cycle..ensure that the wired computer is online
on the router web ui , click on the wireless tab ..change the ssid — any non-linksys name , channel — 11 , security mode — wpa , beacon interval — 50 , fragmentation threshold — 2306 , RTS threshold — 2307 ..

EAS server error: Could not connect to administration Server

Hi,
I have installed Hyperion suite in Windows server 2008 R2. It was working fine but now when i tried to login in to the EAS console, I am getting the following error:
«Server Error: Could not connect to administration server».
I tried accessing the same through the web URL and I found «404 error — file or directory not found».
I verified all my services are up and running fine. I am able to connect to the essbase sever through Excel as well as planning.

Sorry for replying late.
I ran the EPM diagnostic and found EAS & APS application are failed. So as you mentioned, i tried re-deployment through EPM configurator.
But Re-configuration fails with error «An unexpected error occurred and the application will have to shut down» .

EAS Error: Could not connect to Administration Server

Hi Genius,
I have installed and configured Hyperion (11.1.2.1) Essbase & Planning successfully on windows server 2008 64 bit. For that I installed Oracle 10g Standard Edition as supported RDBMS. Due to RAM consumption I planned to install the Oracle Express Edition instead of Standard Edition. For that I export the tablespace which contains metadata of Hyperion products from existing database(SE) to current database(XE). After that I reconfigured all the Hyperion Products.
Once re-configuration completed, I tried to log-in to the Administration Server via EAS Console by providing server name as localhost and username as Admin. Then EAS console throwing error as «Could not connect to Administration server».
To solve this issue I tried following steps,
1> Remove the Cwallet.sso and create a new Cwallet.sso by using orapki bat file.
2> Backup the original ESSBASE.SEC file and rename the ESSBASE.BAK file to ESSBASE.SEC then I started the Essbase Administration service.
3> I re-installed and re-configured the EAS console.
After following these steps I am not able to overcome this issue.
For your kind information,
1> I can able to login to the Essbase through ESSCMD.
2> I can able to view the list of essbase applications through Smart View.
Kindly guide me how to overcome this issue.

EAS Console Error — Could not connect to Administartion server

Hi All,
Installed 64 BIT EAS on windows 2003 server R2 (64 BIT)
Oracle Application Server (32 Bit) is used as a java application server.
Configuratio of EAS was successfully completed but when i try to login into the console «Could not connect to Administartion server» error message appears.

After Effects warning: Could not create the file ‘/Users/USER/Library/Preferences/Adobe/After Effects/13.0/dummy’.

Attempting to launch AE and keep getting this message. Any suggestions?

I am having this problem and this response does not make sense. I made the «Preferences» ,»Adobe» & «After Effects» folder along with the 10.0,11.0,13.0,13.2 folders all read/write. Can’t seem to find an answer.
